Artec 3D scanners upgrade: improved color rendering for higher quality 3D models
Every new Artec 3D scanner will now feature next level texture capture to bring out the true vibrancy of objects’ colors.
Artec’s hardware engineers never cease to work on enhancements that raise the bar in the 3D scanning industry higher up. Their most recent breakthrough is a new method of color rendering for Artec Eva, Spider and Space Spider 3D scanners, which improves the quality of 3D models’ texture. The hues and shades on the surface of an object are now captured with even more accuracy than before, making the final 3D model look as realistic as it possibly can. To illustrate it, let’s check out a couple of 3D models made using Eva before and after the upgrade.
BEFORE: Part of a wall with a color rendition chart, scanned with Eva before the color capture upgrade.
AFTER: Part of a wall with a color rendition chart, scanned with Eva after the color capture upgrade.
BEFORE: The head of a statue of David, scanned with Eva before the color capture upgrade.
AFTER: The head of a statue of David, scanned with Eva after the color capture upgrade.
