What: Live demos of Artec 3D scanners by 3D-MODEL in Switzerland and Germany

During your live demo with 3D-MODEL experts, you’ll learn all the ins and outs of the 3D scanning process, get to know and see Artec handheld and desktop 3D scanners (Artec Leo, Artec Eva, Artec Space Spider, and Artec Micro) and Artec Studio scanning and processing software in action, as well as learn the many applications those scanners are used for in your region and around the world.

Three Artec handheld scanners will take the stage at this event: wireless Artec Leo with onboard processing and a built-in screen for flawless capturing of medium and large objects, Artec Space Spider, a high-precision 3D scanner for small and intricately detailed objects, and Artec Eva, the versatile 3D scanner ideal for capturing a wide array of middle-sized objects, as well as people, in high resolution and color. Also lined up for demos will be the desktop scanner Artec Micro – a fully automatic stationary scanner designed to digitize really tiny parts and objects under 9×6×6 cm with ultra-high precision.

This is a great opportunity to see how 3D scanners can help you streamline and accelerate your current workflows, and to try 3D scanning on your own with the guidance of 3D scan experts from 3D-MODEL.

If you are looking for new technological solutions to improve your reverse engineering workflow, make sure you join the live webinar “Optimize your reverse engineering by choosing the right 3D scanner and the ideal software” organized by 3D-MODEL on July 29.

During the webinar, you’ll get to know all the scanners in the Artec range and what type of objects and parts they can be used for. This includes the handheld scanners Artec Leo, Artec Eva, and Artec Space Spider for scanning small to medium objects, tripod-based long-range Artec Ray for capturing large objects, and desktop scanner Artec Micro for scanning very small objects.

In particular, the scan experts from 3D-MODEL will conduct a live demo of the two handheld scanners: Artec Leo and Artec Space Spider. Not only will you see how each scanner works, but how you can use each or both in your reverse engineering process.

Wireless Artec Leo has long been a favorite among engineers for recreating everything from auto parts for classic and racing cars to kayaks and cycling skin suits. Thanks to its fast speed and onboard processing, you get a highly accurate (up to 0.1 mm) 3D replica of any medium-sized object in a few minutes. Space Spider adds to the lineup as a must-have scanner for capturing small objects or smaller and fine details of the large objects with up to 0.05 mm precision and up to 0.1 resolution.

On top of that, you’ll also learn how to process the captured scan data and perform basic reverse engineering operations with Artec Studio 15 software.
