Large female cane toad

The intricate geometry of this toad’s skin was captured by Artec Space Spider in just 6 minutes! The toad was scanned in two passes, and it was important to hold the scanner at different angles in order to capture the difficult-to-see surfaces between the toes. The countless warts on the dorsal side of the toad have been captured in lifelike color 3D. Both forelimbs and both hind limbs, together with all the toes, appear as they did in everyday life, as if the toad had been scanned in the blink of an eye. The broad ranges of colors, textures, and shapes present in this 3D model are remarkable.
